West Loop Studio has been my photo studio since 1981, it is located at 17 North Elizabeth in Chicago's booming West Loop neighborhood. Since I have owned the building I have primarily shot for design firms and advertising agencies. I have shot many assignments over the years, from Michael Jordan and Mini-Me in the studio to shooting the McDonald's annual report at locations all around the world. About three years ago Jamie Kelter came to West Loop Studio as the studio manager. Along with being fun to work with and a great studio manager, I found that Jamie is also a very talented photographer. Since people were already getting married in the studio it occurred to me that Jamie and I might just be the perfect photographer to shoot their weddings. I soon found out that I was right. People love our package of Jamie's documentary photos and my portraits. Since offering our photo services to people that are getting married at West Loop Studio, we have shot about half of the weddings that happen here. Jamie shoots the ceremony and the reception and everything in between, I shoot portraits in a back portrait studio room till about 11 pm. Guests are encouraged to come back into the studio as many times as they would like through out the night. After the event we post a website with all the images and provide the couple with a DVD of all the high resolution images. Check out our packages for more in depth details. Given the success of our wedding photography at West Loop Studio we are now officially offering this service away from our space. It does cost a bit more money to do this at another location, but if you are interested in Jamie and I shooting at another location, give us a call or email and we can talk about it.
